He Locked Him in the Closet

This is a feature post from my students. They are doing a project for our social studies class; a modern day example of the Declaration of Independence. Their blog is called "CHRISTIAN AND JANETA SPEAKS"

The Declaration of Independence was written on behalf of the 13 colonies to the British Parliament. The colonists were angry because the Birtish were taxing them and making laws without representation from the colonists. The Declaration was similar to a break up letter. The colonists decided to seperate themselves from Parliament and they included the reasons why.
Mike Leach, the coach of Texas Tech, was recently fired from his position as head coach. The university fired him listing reasons that he locked a student in the closet and his behavior was unacceptable. He put a student's life in danger. Adam James had a concussion and told Leach he could not play in the game. Leach became angry and locked James in the closet.
Leach refuses to take ressponsibilty for his actions and is attempting to blame his removal on the fact that the university did not want to pay him more money on his contract.
