She was no ordinary girl, he could tell. To the rest of the world there was nothing different about her, but he could see the glitter in her eyes. There was more to her story and he wanted to read the novel from beginning to end.
She lived her life with hate plastered on her face and anger etched in her heart. She never told cuz she didn't think anyone could understand. She'd been hurt by friends, family, those that said they loved her. She built a fence of barbed wire around a brick wall...never to speak of her past or hope for a better tomorrow. Life dealt the cards and she just played the game, learned to live devoid of emotion and sensitivity. She was just going through the motions but one day she realized that the pieces of heart were lying everywhere...too many pieces, she thought, to ever attempt to put back together. He was...weird. He always looked at her in this way, saying hi every time he saw her, offering to carry her books or wait for the bus with her, but she wasn't having it. She heard the stories of boys and what they wanted; experienced what happened when they didn't get it and what happened when they did. Her pallet had it's share of reds, blacks, and greys and she imagined it could never be white again, but she wouldn't give another person the pleasure of leaving their color of hurt or pain on it. So she ignored him when she could and kirked out on him when he just wouldn't get the clue clue.
But he just wouldn't give up and that day she thanked God he didn't. Her mind had been all over the place and had no idea what she was feeling...she wasn't used to dealing with her feelings and now that they were all coming at her at once she had no idea what to do...so she walked right out of her school and straight to the only place she ever felt free to just breathe. No one knew about her place, but here he was waiting for her...before she could ask he opened his mouth and her eyes began to water with every word..."I'm not here to talk , not hear to ask questions. Just wanna listen...listen to you talk, breathe, cry...it doesn't really matter! Just here to listen..." And her life began from that day in her special place...
Some day, one day my life will begin!
